The State of New Jersey is located in the northeast region of the United States, bordering the State of New York to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and Delaware to the west and south. With a population of 8,414,350 and an area of 22,608 km², the state is the most densely populated in the United States. Because of the large number of parks and gardens, New Jersey is commonly called the Garden State.
The state was one of 13 colonies that fought against British rule. One of the most famous battles in the history of the United States, the Battle of Trenton, took place in New Jersey. The State amended the American Constitution on December 18, 1787.

Its coastline is formed by oceanic islands and bays. The main one, Delaware Bay, serves as a natural border between New Jersey and the State of Delaware. With a temperate climate, the State has average temperatures of 24ºC in the summer and 1ºC in the winter.
Because of being very close to New York and Philadelphia, two of the country’s major financial centers, New Jersey has significant economic importance in the region. The State stands out in the tertiary sector, especially in the provision of financial and real estate services.
In the area of education, it has a notable highlight. New Jersey has more university scientists and engineers than any other American state. Curiosity: three of the greatest scientists in history (Thomas Edison, Samuel Morse and Albert Einstein) lived in the state. The largest city in the same is Newark.
