Everglades National Park

Florida is a peninsula surrounded by large bodies of water: it is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on three sides. To the north are the states of Alabama and Georgia. The state is dominated by plains and large lakes, such as Okeechobee, the fourth largest in the United States.

Its predominant climate is subtropical; the southernmost part of the state has a tropical climate. Winters in the region are usually mild and dry, and summers are hot and humid. Florida has an average of 300 days of sunshine annually, which makes it known as “The Sunshine State”.

The state has high population growth, one of the largest in the United States. Its economy is based mainly on tourism, however, it also stands out in agriculture, especially in orange cultivation. Many tourists, attracted by the higher temperatures, look for Florida beaches. In addition, it is in the State that the largest theme park in the world is located, Walt Disney World, destination of millions of tourists from all parts of the world.

Palm Bay

Palm Bay, on the east coast of Florida, is part of Brevard County and is halfway between Jacksonville and Miami.

In the second half of the 19th century, the first European settlers appeared here and began to build houses in these places. In the 1920s, the city received its modern name, which is derived from the palm-fringed bay. These palm trees are depicted on the coat of arms of the city, they are notable for the fact that they can grow at the very edge of the water, even when washed by sea water at high tide. Beginning in 1922, a network of eighty canals was dug to drain the swampy lands, preventing floods and reclaiming previously unsuitable land for agriculture.

Palm Bay developed rapidly in the second half of the twentieth century. In the nineties, a sports complex was built. There is a small Wildlife Turkey Creek Sanctuary in the northeastern part of the city. Here you can observe rare species of animals and plants.

The climate here is subtropical, in summer there are often intense rains and thunderstorms, winters are mild.

There are many entertainments to be found in the city. This is a rest in the bosom of nature, fishing, boating, water skiing. Here you can rent a small boat, enjoy fishing and catch both freshwater and marine fish. A surf festival is held annually. Buy or rent a surfboard from local shops.

Palm Bay offers many opportunities for play and recreation, with many parks and recreational facilities. You can enjoy outdoor sports, play golf, tennis, ride a bike or go hiking. Palm Bay is highly regarded for its athlete-friendly cyclocross and kayaking routes.

Palm Bay, with its 72 miles of beaches and unique nature, will bring joy to anyone who loves to relax on the coast, enjoy sea sports or just relax on the beach.
