The small and inexpensive town of Encamp is located 7 km from the capital of Andorra. It will “roll” well for those who want to combine bends on the mountain slopes of Pas de la Casa – Grau Roig with evening entertainment in the capital – and at the same time significantly save on accommodation. On the Funicamp lift, you can get to the Enradort ski area (2448 m) in just 15 minutes, making a stop along the way at the Vall dels Cortals station, where the ski school for beginners is located.

How to get there
Encamp can be reached either through Spain or through France. In Barcelona (or Toulouse) you need to transfer to a bus / car and get to Andorra.
During the season, a free bus runs around the city, which delivers hotel guests to the Funicamp ski lift.
The tunnel between Encamp and Años (a place next to La Massana) began to be built not so long ago, but in 2011 it was already opened. Now the way between these two resorts has been reduced from 30-45 minutes to five!
During the ski season, you can take a mini train to Encamp, which passes through the city and Funicamp station and continues on to the Grandvalira ski area. This train runs seven days a week until the end of the ski season, opening hours are from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm (when the last train departs from Funicamp station).

A local historical landmark is the complex of buildings of the Church of Sant Roma: the church itself, the watchtower, water tanks and the ruins of a fortified house dating back to the early Middle Ages.
Sant Jaume dels Cortals is a modern church that was opened in 1999 near the forest of Llau, near the ridge of St. James, where the old church of St. Philip and St. James is located. The church blends in perfectly with the landscape and overlooks the Cortals valley. A small bell tower was built a few meters from the church. In Santiago Cortals, right behind the old church, you can see the Irish architect’s Pagan Square and the beautiful village of Rigoder.
At 50 meters from the Church of Sant Jaume dels Cortals, there is a panoramic platform from which you can see all the paths of Encamp, as well as enjoy a beautiful view of the local natural attractions.

- Take a ride on the so-called mini train that brings skiers and snowboarders to the Grandvalira ski area. And be careful on turns!
- Create your own ski route from Encamp to Pas de la Casa. At the same time, you need to have time to return to Encamp before the lifts close at 16:45, otherwise you will have to get to the hotel by bus.
Learn all about electricity and the history of its development by mankind, and also take part in entertaining experiments with electricity at the Encamp Museum. The museum is located in the basement of the national hydroelectric factory, which was built in 1934. To this day, it is the main electricity generating plant in Andorra. Museum of Historic Vehicles
The museum has a collection of over 90 vehicles and over 100 bicycles, as well as numerous miniatures. Tickets: 2.40 EUR adult, 1.20 EUR child. Opening hours: Tuesday – Saturday: 9:30-13:30 and 15:00-18:00, Sunday: 10:00-14:00.
Tomb of Nereus Route
The Tomb of Nereus route runs at altitudes between 1900 and 2100 m and includes the districts of Canillo, Encamp, Ordino and La Massana. The path of 8 km with a vertical climb of 198 meters can be overcome in 3 hours, which will pass through picturesque forests and valleys. You can start the road from anywhere, because it is a circular route. The road lies along the Solana ridge and travelers can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the cities and spruce forests.
Sights along the way include the gushing springs of Canillo, the forest and Plain Font Mallol in La Massana, and the forest of Bosque del Coll in Ordino. In this area you can find amazing panoramic views and the path to one of the symbols of the country – the peak of Casamanya.
