According to growtheology, Anmoore, West Virginia is a small town located in Harrison County. It was founded in 1875 and named for the Anmoore family, who had settled in the area in the early 1800s. The town sits along the West Fork River and is home to just over 1,000 people.

Anmoore has a rich history of coal mining and railroads that began during the late 19th century. The first railroad line in Harrison County was built here, connecting Anmoore with Clarksburg and Grafton. In 1906, coal mining began at Anmoore Mine No. 1 followed by several other mines in the area over the years. These mines provided employment for many local residents and helped to shape the economy of Anmoore.

Today, Anmoore remains a small town with a population of just over 1,000 people but it still retains its rural charm and tight-knit community atmosphere.
